Breeders Cup Champions Crowned & Winners Announced

In a "Classic" for the ages, it was youth served as Arrogate, trained by the inimitable Bob Baffert, runs down California Chrome in the final yards and wins the 2016 Breeders Cup Classic. It was a great performance by these two amazing thoroughbreds. Thank you to the connections of both of these outstanding horses who love to run fast, once again proving that the true measure of a champion is to run with all of their hearts and to give it their all on the track. Thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations to all of the winners!.....

The King of Hearts : Baseball Diamonds & Life

     35 years ago my father passed away after a long and excruciating battle with cancer. He was truly one of the most courageous men I have ever known. His kindness and compassion for all human beings, especially those less fortunate, was undeniable. On Father's Day 2014, I wrote a short piece here on my blog, reliving a moment in time that has stood still for me all of these years. This book is the rest of his story. I tried to finish the story in 2014, but life happened in the worst way. My mother, who never smoked once in her lifetime, succumbed to an incurable lung disease and passed away late in 2014. Though she had read brief snippets of the beginning of the story, sadly she passed before the story was complete.....
